Over 10,000 Pray on Seke Road Amid Rising Accident Toll and Haunting Ghost Sightings

Over 10,000 congregants of Johane Masowe Chishanu, led by Madzibaba Mozi and accompanied by prophets from Harare and across the country, convened along Seke Road, from Chinhamo to the Zororo Cemetery area , for a solemn day of prayer. The gathering aimed to seek divine protection against the rising tide of road accidents that have tragically claimed numerous lives over the past two months.

According to local reports, Seke Road has experienced a worrying increase in traffic accidents, with authorities confirming more than 40 crashes recorded in recent weeks. Many incidents have resulted in serious injuries and fatalities, deeply affecting the surrounding communities.

Adding to the tension, rumors have been circulating about ghostly apparitions haunting the stretch of road. One anonymous driver shared a harrowing encounter, describing how he saw a man and woman holding hands as they crossed directly into his path. Believing he had struck them, the driver stopped immediately, only to find no one on the road. Moments later, as he prepared to resume his journey, the same couple appeared again—this time standing in front of his car with what seemed like blood oozing from their heads. The driver likened the surreal experience to scenes from a horror movie or an African supernatural film, noting that the couple vanished suddenly as if disappearing into thin air.

These eerie stories have intensified calls for spiritual intervention and heightened road safety measures. The massive prayer event led by Madzibaba Mozi symbolizes the community’s hope that faith and vigilance can help curb the deadly streak.

Authorities continue to urge motorists to practice caution, obey traffic laws, and remain alert while traveling on Seke Road, as patrols and safety campaigns are being strengthened to address the crisis.

As Seke Road becomes a focal point of both real dangers and supernatural lore, the community’s unity in prayer reflects a profound desire to protect lives and restore peace along this vital corridor.
