Tika Chem Truck Wreaks Havoc on Harare’s Trabalas Interchange

 

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Development is cracking down on Tika Chem Investments after one of its trucks caused significant damage to the newly built Trabalas Interchange in Harare. On July 8, a Tika Chem truck carrying granite lost its load, smashing guard rails and battering a freshly laid stretch of pavement.

The ministry has publicly slammed Tika Chem, revealing the incident in a statement that highlights the company’s alleged responsibility. According to the ministry, the truck’s load fell, causing damage to the interchange’s infrastructure.

The incident has raised concerns about road safety and infrastructure protection. The ministry’s response suggests a commitment to holding companies accountable for damage caused by their vehicles
