Chin’ono’s tweet questioned Muswere’s academic credentials, alleging he falsely claimed to have two PhDs. “Marara sei Sisi @HonJMuswereJnr Putting aside your embarrassing kutyora muzuri behaviour, why do you lie that you have two PhDs when you have no such qualifications?” Chin’ono asked.
Muswere fired back, labeling Chin’ono a “cyber terrorist” and accusing him of practicing “Brown envelope journalism” and extortion. “Mr KNOW IT ALL goatwell and your friends You are cyber terrorists, Merchants of falsehoods and a disgrace to the profession,” Muswere tweeted.
According to available information, Jenfan Muswere holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a PhD in Strategic Management and Leadership. There’s also mention of him graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Development Studies from NUST, with his thesis titled “Corporate Governance and Performance in Zimbabwe’s Parastatals”. This would indeed be his second PhD.
The exchange highlights the intense scrutiny Zimbabwean politicians face regarding their qualifications and integrity. As Minister of Information, Muswere plays a crucial role in shaping the country’s media landscape.
