**Prophet T Freddy’s Church Project Nears Completion Five Years After Demolition Setback**
Prophet T Freddy is set for a major comeback as construction of his new church building approaches completion, five years after the demolition of his Glenview place of worship.
The painful episode remains closely linked to his gospel song *Ndiri Kurwadziwa*, which he released shortly after the Harare City Council demolished the church structure in 2020. The song reflected the deep emotional impact of the loss, as the prophet had invested heavily in the building.
At the time, the demolition was not only a physical setback but also a personal and spiritual blow. Through the song’s lyrics, Prophet T Freddy openly expressed his anguish, capturing the difficult period he endured following the destruction of the church.
Despite the setback, the well-known prophetic figure remained resilient and later secured a new site at the corner of Highglen and Mushayabande Road. Construction began thereafter, marking a fresh chapter in his ministry.
Five years on, the new modern church is nearing completion and is expected to accommodate more than 3,500 congregants. Prophet T Freddy said the project was undertaken to provide worshippers with a comfortable and dignified environment.
“We have invested in the church so that people can worship God in a more conducive space,” he said. “We went through a difficult time, but God has remained faithful throughout the journey.”
The completion of the church stands as a significant milestone for the prophet and his followers, symbolising perseverance, faith and renewal after years of challenge.
