The P-Square Saga: A Tale of Betrayal and Backstabbing

The P-Square Saga: A Tale of Betrayal and Backstabbing

The Okoye brothers are at it again, and this time, it’s not just about who wore the best outfit to the awards show. Peter Okoye is accusing his brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, of swindling him out of a whopping ₦1.38 billion. Yeah, that’s a lot of naira.

Jude’s alleged shenanigans include being the sole signatory to P-Square’s bank accounts, which apparently raised some trust issues. Things got even more interesting when he stopped financing Peter’s house project, telling him “As you leave P-Square, you leave the money.” Talk about a classy move, Jude! Peter also discovered a company called Northside Music Limited, which Jude’s wife owns 80% of. That’s quite a sweet deal.

According to Peter, Jude tampered with backend reports and account statements, making it hard for him to get paid for P-Square’s music catalog. When Peter asked for the backend, Jude allegedly said his share of the money was with some people in South Africa. Convenient excuse, Jude! This whole situation has left a bad taste in Peter’s mouth, and he’s not afraid to speak out.

Jude’s been charged with seven counts of money laundering and fraud, including buying an ₦850 million property in Parkview Estate with allegedly ill-gotten gains. He pleaded not guilty, because who admits to fraud, right? The case is ongoing, with Peter testifying against Jude. It’s going to be a wild ride.

Will Jude get away with the alleged fraud, or will Peter finally get his due? Only time (and the court) will tell. Stay tuned for more updates on this juicy family feud. The drama is real, and it’s about to get even more intense.
