Highlanders Football Club’s acting CEO, Kindman Ndlovu, has quit his position with immediate effect due to alleged nasty fights with the club’s Treasurer, Nkani Khoza. Ndlovu reportedly told Bosso chair Kenneth Mhlophe that Khoza tormented him during his 10-week stint as acting CEO.

Ndlovu was appointed interim CEO in April 2025, following the resignation of Brian Moyo, who stepped down amid allegations of fraud and corruption related to a player transfer deal. Moyo allegedly pocketed $5,000 from the purchase of two players, sparking controversy within the club.

While the exact reasons for Ndlovu’s resignation are still emerging, sources indicate that his differences with Khoza were a major factor. The club’s executive committee had scheduled interviews for a permanent CEO position, but Ndlovu’s resignation has added uncertainty to the club’s leadership.

Highlanders FC has struggled with leadership instability, having had four CEOs in a year. The club’s performance on the field has also been affected, with the team underperforming in the Castle Lager Premiership. The search for a new CEO is expected to be a priority for the club’s executive committee.

In a related development, the interviews for the CEO position were postponed due to the absence of key executive committee members. The club’s chairman, Kenneth Mhlophe, treasurer Nkani Khoza, and acting CEO Kindman Ndlovu were present, but the absence of Sifiso Siziba and Morgen Dube made it impossible to proceed with the interviews.

The club’s future leadership and stability hang in the balance as the search for a new CEO continues. With Ndlovu’s resignation, Highlanders FC needs to find a suitable replacement to steer the club forward and address its on-field and off-field challenges.
