A shocking incident unfolded at Trenance Park Secondary School in KwaZulu-Natal, where a 17-year-old Grade 10 student arrived with a large kitchen knife lodged in the back of his neck following a violent altercation.
Emergency services were alerted when Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a distress call. Upon arrival at the school, paramedics found the injured boy lying face down in the school office, bleeding heavily from the wound. Despite the severity of the injury, the student managed to make it back to school for help.
According to the victim, the attack took place while he was heading home to Amaoti. He was confronted by three fellow students from the same school, and during the confrontation, one of them produced the knife and stabbed him before the group fled the scene.
The exact cause of the dispute remains unclear. A passerby who witnessed the incident assisted the injured student by accompanying him back to the school where medical help could be provided.
