Farm & City Manager Accused Of Spending US$10,200 Company Rent Money On Online Betting
A 39-year-old area manager employed by Farm & City Private Limited has appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Court after allegedly using company funds meant for rent payments on online betting.
The accused, **Justine Ngoshi**, appeared in court last Friday facing theft charges. He was brought before provincial magistrate **Michael Mafukidze**, who ordered that he remain in custody while awaiting a full bail hearing.
According to the State, the incident occurred between **31 July 2025 and 28 February 2026**. During this period, Ngoshi reportedly collected **US$10,200** that had been allocated to cover rent for the Farm & City retail shop located in **Belgravia**.
Prosecutors allege that the money was supposed to be delivered to **Sawyer and Mkushi Legal Practitioners**, who manage the property. Instead of forwarding the funds, Ngoshi allegedly diverted the entire amount to gamble on the popular online betting game **Aviator**.
Authorities say the full **US$10,200** was misappropriated and **none of the money has been recovered** so far.
The matter remains before the courts as investigations continue.
