In a heart-stopping act of bravery, 11-year-old Rebecca Munkombwe saved her 9-year-old friend Latoya Muwani from a crocodile attack in Sinderela Village, Hwange. The incident occurred while the girls were swimming with friends near a waterbody.
Rebecca’s quick thinking and fearless actions led her to jump onto the crocodile’s back and poke its eyes until it released Latoya. Both girls escaped with minor injuries, and Latoya is expected to make a full recovery after receiving treatment at St. Patrick’s Hospital.
