Hit-and-Run Incident and Murder Cases Rock Lupane and Nkayi

The Lupane police department is urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation of a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred on June 17, 2025, at approximately 21:30 hours. The incident took place near St Luke’s Hospital along the Kenmaur Road, where a 30-year-old man lost his life after being struck by an unknown motorist who failed to stop after the accident.

In a separate incident, Nkosiyazi Ndlovu (35) was apprehended by the Lupane police on June 18, 2025, in connection with the murder of his wife, Bonokuhle Nyathi (25). The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim with fists and a switch after accusing her of an extramarital affair. The incident occurred on June 17, 2025, at Vuma, Lozkey Business Centre, Nyamandlovu.

Furthermore, a gruesome discovery was made in Nkayi, where the body of Hlangabeza Khumalo (23) was found with multiple head injuries along a dirt road near Sembeule Centre, Gwelutshena. The police are working tirelessly to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death.

The police are appealing to anyone with information that may aid in the investigation of these cases to report to the nearest police station.
