Zimfest Organizers Set the Record Straight

The organizers of this year’s Zimfest, a vibrant celebration of Zimbabwean culture held in the UK, have denied reports of a £3000 fine for alleged public defecation incidents. The music extravaganza, which took place at the Hertfordshire County Showground in St Albans, featured top Zimbabwean musicians like Winky D, Jah Signal, and Saintfloew.

Despite some social media claims suggesting otherwise, the organizers stated that all went well during the event. They acknowledged that while there is always room for improvement, they did not receive any fines for misconduct by attendees.

The organizers expressed pride in how well the community came together to celebrate their culture. They highlighted the positive atmosphere and respectful behavior of the attendees, describing it as “incredible to see so many happy, respectful, and vibrant faces.”

The mayor of Dunstable town has also given Zimfest her thumbs up, further endorsing the event’s success. The festival was hailed as the UK’s biggest celebration of Zimbabwean culture, showcasing the country’s rich heritage and music.
