Zimbabwe to Crush Illegal Gambling Machines

The Lotteries and Gaming Board of Zimbabwe is set to destroy a batch of illegal gambling machines in Beitbridge on July 3, following a court order. The machines were confiscated during a nationwide crackdown on unlicensed gaming operations earlier this year.

The board’s interim secretary, Dr. Misheck Chingozha, stated that the destruction of the machines is part of the board’s efforts to enforce regulatory standards and protect the integrity of Zimbabwe’s gaming sector. The move aims to ensure that gaming activities in the country are conducted fairly and lawfully.

The Lotteries and Gaming Board has been working to identify and shut down unlicensed gaming operations, and the destruction of the seized machines serves as a warning to operators who fail to comply with the law. The board’s actions demonstrate its commitment to upholding the law and protecting the public.
