DAGGA BUSTS: ZRP ARRESTS SUSPECTS IN MBARE AND BEITBRIDGE

DAGGA BUSTS: ZRP ARRESTS SUSPECTS IN MBARE AND BEITBRIDGE

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has made significant strides in its crackdown on illicit substances, arresting suspects in multiple incidents. The arrests demonstrate the ZRP’s commitment to keeping communities safe and combating the scourge of illicit substance trafficking and distribution.

In Mbare, a suspect was apprehended after being found in possession of dagga, commonly known as skunk. While further details on the arrest are awaited, the incident highlights the ZRP’s efforts to tackle the issue of illicit substance abuse in the country.

In Beitbridge, the ZRP made two significant arrests on July 1, 2025. Tuesday Madoro (43), Walter Magore (42), and Wilson Mukachana (33) were arrested at Parks illegal crossing point with 10.5 kilogrammes of dagga. The trio’s arrest underscores the ZRP’s determination to disrupt the supply chain of illicit substances in the country.

In a separate incident, Shyleen Johane (35) was arrested at a service station in Beitbridge for unlawful possession of dagga. The arrest highlights the ZRP’s proactive approach to combating illicit substance abuse and trafficking.

The ZRP’s efforts to combat illicit substance trafficking and distribution are ongoing. The arrests in Mbare and Beitbridge demonstrate the police’s commitment to keeping communities safe and protecting citizens from the harm caused by illicit substances. The ZRP urges members of the public to report any information related to illicit substance trafficking and distribution to the nearest police station.
