Tragedy on Zimbabwe’s Roads, Victims Identified

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has released the names of the victims who lost their lives in two fatal road accidents earlier this week. The accidents occurred on May 12 and 13, claiming the lives of several innocent people. In one of the accidents, which happened on the Mvurwi-Kanyemba Road near Mahuwe, five people lost their lives. The victims have been identified as Gilbert Katyamakwara, 50, Nelisa Majasi, 8, Nevy Samunawu, Chiseche Mafuta, 48, and Murambiwa Joyce, 49. All the victims were from Chitauro Village, Chief Bepura, Guruve.

In the second accident, which occurred on the Harare-Mukumbura Road, the death toll has risen to six. The identified victims are Future Chikudza, 51, Tatenda Samatha Ngundu, 29, Heather Mashiri, 70, Flosky Ngundu, just five months old, and Anotida Denzel Mawadze, 19. Unfortunately, the sixth victim, an adult female, has not yet been identified by her next of kin.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police is using these tragic incidents to urge all motorists to prioritize road safety and adhere to the country’s road rules. The recent accidents serve as a grim reminder of the importance of responsible driving and the devastating consequences of negligence on the roads.
