Temba Mliswa Issues Fierce Warning After Car Break-In, Sparks Speculation Over Political Rift

Veteran Zimbabwean politician Temba Mliswa has ignited fresh controversy following a break-in at his vehicle, which he disclosed in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter). Mliswa revealed that “human broke into his car,” a cryptic message that left many followers guessing about the perpetrators. Undeterred, Mliswa declared fearlessness, stating he walks with “The Almighty and his ancestors.”

In a strong warning to those behind the incident, Mliswa cautioned, “whoever does anything will find themselves in Comrade Chihuri or the former President’s situation,” referencing Zimbabwe’s controversial former police chief Augustine Chihuri and a previous letter he sent to the former President as a warning. He added defiantly, “Sending thugs won’t work on me, we move.”

The timing of this incident has fueled speculation that Mliswa’s remarks may be linked to ongoing tensions with powerful political figures, particularly Vice President Constantino Chiwenga. The former Zanu-PF MP stirred the political pot last week when he publicly aired grievances about Chiwenga, hinting at a deepening rift.

Temba Mliswa’s relationship with Chiwenga and other senior leaders has been strained over time. Known for his outspoken criticism, Mliswa has often clashed with the ruling party’s leadership over governance issues and internal party dynamics. His vocal opposition to some policies and decisions has reportedly put him at odds with Chiwenga, who wields significant influence within Zimbabwe’s political establishment.

This latest incident, coupled with Mliswa’s pointed references to figures like Chihuri and the former President, suggests escalating tensions and a potentially dangerous power struggle behind the scenes.

Analysts say Mliswa’s defiance reflects broader fractures within Zimbabwe’s political elite, where accusations, warnings, and threats have become part of the fraught landscape.

As Mliswa continues to challenge powerful interests, questions remain about the impact of these conflicts on Zimbabwe’s political stability. For now, Mliswa’s followers and political observers alike will be watching closely as the drama unfolds, wondering who exactly is behind the break-in and what the next moves will be in this high-stakes showdown.
