A disturbing trend of learner misconduct has emerged at Masasi High School, sparking concerns about the institution’s leadership and priorities. Students are reportedly engaging in truancy, disrespecting teachers, and possibly even substance abuse.
Rather than blaming the students alone, stakeholders point to the school administration’s lax approach as a major contributor to the problem. The lack of discipline and accountability has created an environment where students feel they can act with impunity.
To make matters worse, workers are struggling to make ends meet, having gone over four months without receiving their salaries. This has led to demotivation and low morale, which undoubtedly affects the quality of education.
The situation at Masasi High School serves as a stark reminder of the importance of effective leadership and prioritizing staff welfare. Until these issues are addressed, the school’s problems are likely to persist.
