Pit Bull Owner Denied Bail.

A Harare man, Mike Mapinga, has been denied bail after his pit bulls fatally attacked a passerby in a suburb of Harare. Mapinga is facing charges of culpable homicide, and the court ruled that he’s not a suitable candidate for bail due to two outstanding warrants.

The attack occurred when Mapinga’s dogs, including three pit bulls and a Rottweiler, escaped from his rented property and attacked Samuel Machara, who died from his injuries.

The denial of bail raises concerns about public safety and the need for pet owners to take responsibility for their animals. The incident has sparked a debate about the risks associated with certain breeds of dogs and the importance of proper animal control.

Mapinga will return to court on June 27, and his fate will be determined by the court. The outcome will likely have implications for pet owners and the community.
