A 22-year-old man from Karoi, Zimbabwe, has beenin prison for engaging in a romantic relationship with a 15-year-old girl. The relationship began in January 2024 and resulted in the girl becoming pregnant and giving birth to a baby boy.

The authorities were informed after the girl’s parent filed a report at the Karoi Rural Police Station. The court emphasized the serious legal consequences of relationships with minors, highlighting Zimbabwe’s strict laws protecting children from s#xual exploitation.
