Justice Served: ZRP  Nabs  Suspects

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with serious crimes committed in the country

Vengai Chihiya (30) was arrested on June 28, 2025, in connection with the murder of Mugove Katsande, which occurred near Nyika Secondary School Grounds in Mhondoro Ngezi on June 27, 2025. Police recovered a Columbian knife used in the commission of the offense during a search of the suspect.

In a separate incident, Providence Shumba (32) was arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred at an Ecocash Shop in Chitungwiza on June 25, 2025. The suspect allegedly stole Buddie scratch cards worth US$1,000, US$180 in cash, and two cellphones. Police recovered some of the stolen items, including Buddie scratch cards worth US$500 and the two cellphones.

The ZRP commends members of the public for providing useful information that led to the arrest of the suspects. The police force remains committed to fighting crime and ensuring the safety and security of citizens.

The ZRP urges members of the public to continue providing information and cooperating with the police to prevent and combat crime.
