Family Feud Turns Deadly in Nkulumane

A domestic dispute escalated into a violent confrontation in Nkulumane, leaving one man fighting for his life. Thulani Ncube was stabbed by his older brother, Brighton, allegedly over accusations of an affair with Thulani’s wife. The argument began when Thulani discovered flirtatious messages between his wife and younger brother, Albert.

“It was like a horror scene. Blood was everywhere,” said Mr. Mpofu, a retired security guard who witnessed the aftermath. “I was in my yard when I heard the commotion. When I rushed over, I saw Thulani lying on the floor, groaning in pain.”

The situation quickly spiraled out of control when Brighton intervened, taking Albert’s side, and the confrontation intensified. “You’re banging my wife!” Thulani shouted, according to a neighbor who overheard the heated argument. “The tension was crazy, we could hear the shouting from next door,” added the neighbor.

In a shocking twist, Brighton allegedly stabbed Thulani in the chest with a screwdriver before fleeing the scene. Neighbors described the scene as “horrific,” with Thulani lying on the floor, groaning in pain, and blood everywhere.

“Was it guilt, rage or a jealous heart? Whatever it was, it turned deadly,” said MaMoyo, a local resident. “This is shocking. These are brothers! We never expected such madness in that family,” added another resident.

Thulani’s wife panicked and sought help from neighbors, who called the police and paramedics. Thulani was rushed to Mpilo Central Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Brighton is on the run, and police have launched a manhunt.

The community is stunned, with many expressing shock that brothers could resort to such violence. The incident has left more questions than answers, with residents wondering what drove Brighton to commit such a heinous act. As the investigation continues, the community grapples with the aftermath of the violent family fallout.
