Dynamos FC has taken the decision to suspend technical staff member Harry Lusengo following a disruption at the team’s training facility that interfered with preparations for Sunday’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League fixture.
Harry Lusengo, who happens to be the son of Dynamos’ board chair Bernad Marriot, reportedly prevented the team bus from departing the training ground on Thursday afternoon. This incident compelled the players to resort to public transportation to leave.
In an official statement, the club expressed:
“After the regrettable disturbance caused by technical staff member Harry Lusengo at today’s training ground, the club management wishes to confirm that the matter is now under control. The behavior was unwarranted and unacceptable, prompting the club to take immediate disciplinary action by suspending Lusengo from all team-related activities.”
The management also encouraged players to maintain their focus ahead of the important home match against GreenFuel, set to take place at Rufaro Stadium at 3 pm on Sunday.
“Moreover, Dynamos management assures all stakeholders and the public that strict measures have been implemented to prevent such incidents from recurring. We also confirm that both players and coaching staff remain concentrated and fully prepared for the upcoming game against GreenFuel,” the statement concluded.
This prompt response underscores the club’s firm stance against any disruptions that could negatively impact team performance, with Lusengo’s suspension to continue until further notice.
