Court Throws Out Thabo Bester’s Anti-Netflix Drama, Declares Documentary ‘Too Juicy to Stop’

In a plot twist that even Netflix writers couldn’t dream up, South Africa’s most notorious couple, Dr. Nandipha Magudumana and convicted rapist Thabo Bester, have spectacularly failed to block the streaming of a documentary about their bizarre Bonnie and Clyde style escapades. The Pretoria High Court dismissed their plea faster than you can say “plot twist,” declaring the matter “not urgent” possibly because the judge was busy binge watching the trailer.

The documentary, cheekily titled “Beauty and the Bester,” began streaming at 9am on Friday, much to the dismay of the couple who apparently thought paying Netflix would buy them a “skip intro” button on their own lives.

Dr. Magudumana tried to stop Netflix from airing footage of her father and some judge named Cameron, who apparently wanted the documentary edited like a reality TV show  but the court wasn’t having it. Advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi revealed that Magudumana had been paid handsomely for her archives, making her last-minute tantrum about the documentary airing about as effective as a cat trying to stop a laser pointer.

Bester’s lawyer, Adv Moafrika Wa Maila, argued that the documentary’s “crafty” editing made his client look like a villain , shocker! According to Bester’s affidavit, Netflix superimposed clips to make it seem like he admitted to being a danger to society, which he claims is “manipulative” and “unfair.” He warned that if the documentary aired for even one hour, over 6.3 million South Africans would be brainwashed by these “misleading” edits ,   a number suspiciously close to the population of a small country.

In a heartfelt plea, Bester lamented that no amount of money could erase the public’s memory of his prison escape and alleged crimes, and that the documentary’s title, a pun on “Beauty and the Beast,” was basically branding him a monster. He even suggested that viewers would forever see him as “inhuman,” despite ongoing trials a tragic fate worse than being stuck in a Netflix binge session with no snacks.

So, grab your popcorn, folks  “Beauty and the Bester” is here to stay, and no amount of legal drama or poultry protests will stop it from streaming into your living rooms!
