Beitbridge is mourning today after the shocking discovery of a young couple found deceased in their home, sparking a grim investigation by authorities.
On the morning of September 11, 2025, the bodies of 32-year-old Nyasha Madenyika and 34-year-old Farai Prosper Longwe were discovered in a room at their Medium Density residence. Both had sustained gunshot wounds ,Nyasha was shot in the cheek, while Farai had a wound near his right ear.
A Smith and Wesson revolver was recovered from Farai’s right hand, loaded with three live rounds. Investigators also found three spent cartridges at the scene, along with an additional 36 live rounds of ammunition, raising many questions about the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have confirmed they are treating the case as a murder investigation and have pledged to release more information as the inquiry progresses.
This heartbreaking event has left the Beitbridge community in shock, and condolences go out to the families and friends affected by this devastating loss.
