Bulawayo Police Bust Vuzu Party, Arrest 13 Youths

Bulawayo Police Bust Vuzu Party, Arrest 13 Youths

Bulawayo police have taken decisive action against illicit activities in the city, arresting 13 youths, aged between 17 and 21, for hosting a Vuzu party in Cowdray Park on May 24. The party was held at a seven-roomed house, where police officers responded to noise complaints and found the youths engaging in illicit activities.

According to Bulawayo police spokesperson Nomalanga Msebele, the youths were arrested for taking drugs and having unprotected sex. The 21-year-old host of the party lived with his sister at the house, while their parents were reportedly in Botswana. The police operation was swift and decisive, with officers responding promptly to complaints from neighbors.

The incident highlights concerns about the prevalence of Vuzu parties in Bulawayo, where minors often gather to engage in substance abuse and other illicit activities. These parties pose a significant risk to the health and well-being of the youths involved, and the police are urging parents and guardians to remain vigilant and monitor their children’s activities.

Vuzu parties have become a growing concern in Bulawayo, with many minors falling prey to substance abuse and other illicit activities. The parties often involve unprotected sex, drug abuse, and other risky behaviors, which can have serious consequences for the health and well-being of the youths involved.

The police are urging parents and guardians to take an active role in monitoring their children’s activities and preventing them from falling prey to the dangers associated with Vuzu parties. By working together, the community can help to prevent these types of incidents and ensure the safety and well-being of all youths in Bulawayo.
