The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Centenary has arrested 44-year-old actor, Madenyika, in connection with a robbery that occurred at Plot 11, Dunbuton Farm, on June 22, 2025. According to reports, Madenyika and two accomplices, who are still at large, allegedly attacked a woman at her home, making off with $450 in cash and two cellphones. Fortunately, the police have recovered one of the stolen cellphones from Madenyika.
In a separate incident, the ZRP is investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred on June 21, 2025, along the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road. A 41-year-old man was struck by an unknown motorist at the 153 km peg and died on the spot. The driver failed to stop after the accident, leaving the victim behind. The police are working to identify the perpetrator and bring them to justice.
The ZRP is urging anyone with information about these incidents to come forward and assist with the investigations.
