Mwazha had offered to pay US$100 compensation, but instead, he filed a report against Juruvenge, accusing him of assault. Ndabambi, who was handling the case, allegedly took matters into his own hands, demanding a bribe from Juruvenge and his sister in exchange for their release.
The allegations against Ndabambi are disturbing. He allegedly assaulted Juruvenge’s sister, Melisa Manyepa, on the knees with a wooden stick, and demanded US$100 from both Juruvenge and his sister to release them.
