Police ‘Justice’ in Malalume-A Killer in Uniform

In the small village of Malalume, Bulilima, a sinister crime has shaken the community to its core. Constable Blessed Moyo, a man entrusted with protecting the villagers, stands accused of a heinous murder that has left everyone speechless.

The story begins in February, when a mentally unstable man from Binga was caught stealing food and clothes from Melisa Ndlovu’s home. Constable Moyo arrested the man, who was later brutally assaulted and forced to confess. But what happened next is a tale of unimaginable horror.

According to witnesses, Moyo dismissed the others, saying he would arrange transport to Bulawayo. But the man was never seen alive again. Instead, his skeletal remains were discovered buried in a toilet behind the police base, along with a pair of handcuffs, a bloodied Okapi knife, and torn clothes.

The villagers are outraged, demanding justice for the soul that was brutally taken. “We trusted him to protect us, but he was the devil in our midst,” said a shopkeeper at Tjaguta Business Centre. “He abused power, harassed us for beer, and now this? He must rot in jail.”

As the case unfolds, the villagers are still reeling from the shock. “This man thought he could hide behind the uniform,” said a villager who requested anonymity. “But even bones can talk. We want justice for the soul he buried.”

The village is united in its demand for answers. “We are not fools,” said an elderly villager. “That man was killed in cold blood, and they tried to bury the truth. But the ancestors refused to be silenced.”

Constable Moyo’s case continues, with the state represented by prosecutor Arnold Mudekunye. The outcome will determine whether justice will be served, but one thing is certain – the people of Malalume will not rest until the truth is revealed.
