The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is appealing for information on the whereabouts of Venia Dumba, wanted in connection with the murder of his girlfriend at Moses Nyoni Homestead, Munhundangwa Village.

The argument began on November 16, 2025, around 9 pm, over a missing birth certificate needed for a passport application. A relative intervened, calming the situation, but the next morning, the girlfriend was found dead with blood on her head. Dumba had fled the scene and remains at large.

Anyone with information on Dumba’s location is urged to contact the ZRP immediately, citing the case as a matter of urgency. This comes amid concerns over rising violent crime rates in Zimbabwe, with 40 murder cases reported in just the first two months of 2025 .
