The Meteorological Services Department of Zimbabwe has issued a weather advisory warning citizens of a significant rise in temperatures and an increased risk of veld fires across the country, starting Thursday and peaking over the weekend. A hot and dry air mass is expected to dominate the weather pattern, with temperatures soaring into the mid-to-high 30s Celsius in many areas.
The forecast for Thursday shows a divided start, with Matabeleland South, Masvingo, and Manicaland provinces experiencing cloudy, windy, and cool mornings with a chance of light drizzle in eastern districts. However, these conditions will give way to partly cloudy and warm afternoons. In contrast, Harare, Bulawayo, Matabeleland North, and all Mashonaland provinces will experience mild, cloudless mornings that will quickly turn “sunny and hot” in the afternoon.

Bindura-33°C on Sunday, accompanied by 1.2 mm of rainfall
Bulawayo- Steady climb from 21°C on Thursday to 27°C by Sunday
Harare- Temperatures rising from 22°C on Thursday to 27°C over the weekend
Masvingo- Peaking at 24°C on Thursday
Mutare- Relatively milder but still warm conditions, peaking at 23°C on Thursday
