Police in Beitbridge have apprehended a 35-year-old woman, Patience Chivesera, in connection with the alleged concealment of her child’s birth and subsequent abandonment. According to reports, Chivesera gave birth to a baby and left the infant in a bushy area near Chapfuche Tollgate just a day after birth.
Fortunately, the newborn was discovered alive and has been rushed to Beitbridge District Hospital for medical attention. Healthcare professionals are closely monitoring the child’s condition.
