Tragedy on Harare Road- 10 Lives Lost in Devastating Collision

A horrific accident occurred today, May 27, 2025, near the Sebakwe River in Kwekwe, claiming the lives of 10 people. A Nissan AD van, operating as a mushikashika, was involved in a fatal collision with a fuel tanker.

The accident unfolded when the fuel tanker collided with a lorry, causing the tanker driver to lose control. The tanker then overturned and landed on top of the AD van, trapping it beneath. Witnesses described the scene as horrific, with the tanker leaking fuel and posing a serious risk of explosion.

The driver and all passengers of the AD van, approximately 10 people, were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are working to identify the victims and complete necessary procedures.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. The incident highlights the importance of road safety and responsible driving practices.

Our thoughts are with the families of the victims during this difficult time. May they find strength and support in the face of this tragedy.
