St John’s Chikwaka Maintains Academic Dominance With Perfect A-Level Results

ZIMSEC Set to Announce 2025 A-Level Results on Friday

St John’s High School Chikwaka has continued its rise as one of Zimbabwe’s top-performing secondary schools after achieving a 100 percent pass rate in the November 2025 ZIMSEC Advanced Level examinations.

The latest results not only sustained the school’s flawless record but also exceeded last year’s performance, with a strong spread of high-scoring candidates underscoring the depth of academic excellence at the Anglican Church-run institution.

Six learners emerged with the maximum 20 points, while a total of 40 candidates scored 15 points and above. Among them, one student attained 18 points, two achieved 17 points, one secured 16 points, and 30 candidates finished with 15 points.

In a statement released following the publication of the results, the school attributed the outstanding outcome to collective effort and disciplined focus.

“The achievement reflects consistent hard work, shared vision and a culture that places learning at the centre of everything we do,” the statement said.

School authorities paid tribute to headmaster Mr Brian Mandikutse, crediting his leadership for setting clear academic targets and fostering an environment where learners are motivated to excel. His approach, the school said, has helped align staff, students and administrators toward a common goal.

Teaching and non-teaching staff were also commended for their contribution, with the school noting that committed mentorship, effective teaching strategies and strong support systems played a critical role in the success of the 2025 A-Level class.

Speaking after the release of the results, Mr Mandikutse welcomed the achievement but emphasised that the school remains focused on continuous improvement.

“We are pleased with the results, but we are not complacent,” he said. “There is always room to do better, and we will keep refining our teaching methods, revision programmes and study structures.”

As celebrations continue among parents, learners and the wider Chikwaka community, the latest performance has further strengthened St John’s High School Chikwaka’s reputation as a centre of academic excellence and consistency.
