The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) are currently investigating two harrowing incidents of concealed birth that took place in Harare on August 12, 2025. In Kuwadzana Phase 3, a foetus was discovered wrapped in a blue bedsheet at a dumping site along the Harare-Bulawayo Road.
The remains have been sent to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for a post-mortem examination.
In another distressing case in Budiriro, a foetus was found wrapped in a plastic bag, abandoned in the backyard of a house. This case is also under investigation, with the foetus taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital for post-mortem analysis.
