Remembering Noel Eric York, Fondly Known as “Mbokodo”

Noel Eric York, affectionately called “Mbokodo,” was a remarkable Zimbabwean who saw no color barriers and was deeply committed to supporting his community, especially in Bulawayo and across Matabeleland.

Known for his generosity and dedication, Mbokodo was a passionate farmer who once famously slaughtered up to 100 cows a day. He was respected for offering livestock farmers the best deals and ensuring cattle traders received fair prices.

His legacy stands as a testament to his commitment to uplifting local farmers and strengthening the agricultural community — truly a story of Africa’s spirit reaching out to the world.
