Political Drama Takes a Legal Twist in Zimbabwe

In a whirlwind of political intrigue, Temba Mliswa has found himself not just in the eye of a storm but now facing a legal thunderclap. The outspoken legislator recently dropped a bombshell on social media, accusing Vice President Chiwenga’s anti-corruption campaign of being a personal vendetta against businessman Wicknell Chivayo  , all because of some mysterious unpaid financial promises.

Enter Fadzayi Mahere, lawyer extraordinaire and public watchdog, who didn’t just sip her tea quietly. She publicly grilled Mliswa with a trio of sharp questions that cut through the drama like a hot knife through butter:

– Is there really a plan to arrest Wicknell Chivayo? If yes, where did Mliswa get this juicy info?
– Does Mliswa oppose this supposed arrest? And on what grounds?
– Most importantly, is Mliswa risking being accused of obstructing justice by airing all this in a public Twitter thread?

Mahere’s pointed interrogation suggests that Mliswa’s exposé might be less about whistleblowing and more about throwing a wrench into the legal machinery.

But the plot thickens! Mahere then turned her spotlight on Chivayo himself, demanding he clarify whether he promised cash to Vice President Chiwenga, how much, and if their fallout was due to him not coughing up the dough.

In this political soap opera, it seems everyone’s got secrets, and the courtroom might just be the next stage for this drama. Stay tuned , popcorn recommended.
