Pastor Dumi’s Holy Debt Drama

In a shocking turn of events, Pastor Dumisani Mawoyo, a renowned Harare preacher, has been sued by his friend Benson Maeka over an unpaid debt of US$80,000. The loan agreement, signed on January 6, 2024, was supposed to be a straightforward deal – no interest, just pay back the cash. Easy peasy, right?

However, Mawoyo allegedly went MIA, playing a game of spiritual hide-and-seek with Maeka. Despite repeated demands, including a final ultimatum on November 26, 2024, the pastor failed to cough up the cash. Maeka, tired of being ghosted, took the matter to court. Now, the man of God faces a different kind of judgment – the court’s.

As the case unfolds, one wonders if Pastor Mawoyo will miraculously conjure up the funds or if Maeka will have to wait for a heavenly payment plan.  Either way, this holy debt drama is about to get a whole lot more interesting!
