In a bizarre twist, a plate of sadza turned deadly in Mvurwi when Reason Shadrecka (36) and his accomplice, Biggie Nduzani (currently on the run), allegedly beat Allen Shambare (19) to death with wooden logs and a stone. The motive? A heated argument over who got the bigger portion of sadza. Yes, you read that right – sadza!
According to reports, the altercation escalated quickly, with Shadrecka and Nduzani unleashing a barrage of blows on Shambare, leaving him lifeless on the spot. The police were swift to act, arresting Shadrecka, while Nduzani remains at large.
In a separate incident, police intercepted a Toyota Hiace kombi at Gate 1 illegal crossing point along Limpopo River, arresting driver Elson Nyajena (48) for unlawful possession of dagga. Nyajena’s accomplices, Tawanda Muchemwa (39) and Rangarirai Eugenia Mudzani (46), were also apprehended after Nyajena sang like a canary. It seems like the police are on a roll, cracking down on crime in the region!
