In what was supposed to be a serene midnight prayer session on Arcturus Road in Mabvuku, six unsuspecting worshippers found their holy vibes hilariously hijacked ,not by angels, but by five mask-wearing marauders brandishing machetes like they were auditioning for a bizarre dance troupe.
The group, a mix of four men and two women, had gathered peacefully at their local shrine to commune with the cosmos when suddenly, at the stroke of midnight, these shadowy figures moonwalked out of nowhere. Their choreographed entrance was less “holy visitation” and more “armed flash mob,” as they demanded everyone’s earthly possessions with the enthusiasm of overzealous street performers.
Inspector Luckmore Chakanza of the Harare provincial police confirmed the surreal scene, explaining that the gang made off with various items , including one worshipper’s prized US$95, which is apparently the going rate for spiritual disruption these days.
This audacious attack on a place of worship has left the community scratching their heads and wondering if next time their prayers might be interrupted by something even stranger, like a troupe of juggling juggernauts or a spontaneous kazoo orchestra.
