Love Triangle Gone Wrong: Ex-Minister Almost Loses Life in Jealous Rage

Former cabinet minister Joel Gabbuza is fighting for his life after a brutal attack in Binga. According to police, Gabbuza was attacked by two suspects at a woman’s home in Siamakwa Village. The attack left him with deep cuts on his head and hands.

The motive behind the attack is believed to be a love triangle gone wrong. The woman’s ex-boyfriend, who allegedly couldn’t accept the breakup, saw Gabbuza as the cause of their split and sought revenge.

Gabbuza, who is married, was in a long-term affair with the woman. The attack occurred at night, with the suspects slashing Gabbuza’s vehicle tires before forcing their way into the room where the couple was sleeping.

The former minister was stabbed multiple times and suffered severe injuries. He was driven over 200km to Hwange Colliery Hospital, where he was stabilized before being referred to Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo for further treatment. Gabbuza remains in critical condition.
