In a shocking turn of events, a Delta Beverages driver has been arrested for allegedly stealing nearly 4,000 cases of Chibuku Super beer. Honestly, who doesn’t love a good beer heist?
Munyaradzi Gotora, 38, appeared in court facing three charges of theft, and we’re pretty sure he’s not feeling too “super” about his situation. The alleged beer burglaries took place between June 25 and July 9, 2025, while Gotora was supposed to be delivering brews to Binga and nearby areas. Instead, he allegedly sold the beer himself and pocketed the cash, because who needs a 401(k) when you can have a beer-filled bank account?
In one particularly egregious case, Gotora allegedly sold 1,189 cases worth $4,451 and didn’t deposit a single dollar. Talk about a hoppy opportunity gone wrong! He allegedly covered his tracks with fake invoices, claiming the delivery was a credit transaction with Gain Cash and Carry – a clever move, unless you’re trying to con a connoisseur of beer theft.
The biggest heist came on July 5, when Gotora allegedly swiped 1,933 cases of Chibuku Super worth $8,779. He deposited a paltry $2,110 and converted the rest to personal use. We guess that’s one way to “tap” into the beer market.
The thefts were uncovered after stock records flagged major irregularities, and police found receipts linking Gotora to the missing beer. Looks like someone needs to brush up on their beer-laundering skills!
Gotora will appear in court again on August 14, where he’ll face the music – or should we say, the beer? Stay tuned for the next installment of this brew-tiful saga!
