Eunor Guti Turns Down Chivayo’s Gift -Integrity and Values Take Center Stage

In a move that has sparked widespread discussion, Eunor Guti, the widow of Archbishop Ezekiel Guti, has revealed that she declined a luxury gift from businessman Wicknell Chivayo. The gift, which included a brand-new 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series VXR and US$250,000, was publicly announced by Chivayo as a tribute to Archbishop Guti’s legacy.

According to Eunor Guti, she declined the gift due to her commitment to her late husband’s principles and values. She emphasized that Archbishop Guti never accepted personal gifts of this nature, and she wants to maintain that integrity. “My father never walked that way,” she said, explaining her decision to reject the gift.

Guti made it clear that she wants no association with the vehicle or the money, whether intended for her personal use or for church-related activities. “I am not going to take that money… We don’t want that,” she stated firmly. The day-to-day board of the church supported her decision, acknowledging that people were asking about the gift and expressing gratitude for her clarity.

Eunor Guti’s decision reflects her commitment to upholding personal and institutional values. By declining the gift, she has demonstrated that she prioritizes integrity and transparency over personal gain. The incident has sparked discussions about the importance of maintaining values and principles, especially in positions of leadership.
