Case Update: Chillmaster Pleads Not Guilty

Zimbabwean musician Chillmaster, whose real name is Gift Gombarume, has pleaded not guilty to charges of culpable homicide and driving without a license. The charges stem from a fatal car accident that resulted in the death of 50-year-old Caston Charambira.

The accident occurred when Chillmaster’s vehicle allegedly hit Charambira, who was walking on the roadside. Charambira sustained severe injuries, including broken legs and head trauma, and died at the scene.

In the aftermath of the incident, Chillmaster issued a statement on social media, expressing remorse and taking responsibility for his actions. However, when appearing in court, he pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecution requested Chillmaster to produce his driver’s license or a statement of agreed facts, but his lawyers resisted, accusing the State of rushing to judgment. The matter has been remanded to commence trial.
