“Bomb Scare” or Just a Drill? Holiday Inn Bulawayo Guests Get a Thrill

 

 

A sudden “bomb scare” at the Holiday Inn hotel in Bulawayo led to a swift evacuation of guests from their rooms. The scene was set ablaze with police officers sprinting inside and an ambulance arriving promptly.

“Bomb scare” incident at Holiday Inn hotel in Bulawayo was a “mock drill” which they are required to do every six months,” said the hotel management. The army’s bomb disposal unit and police responded to the simulated emergency.

The public took to social media to share their amusement at the situation. Some found humor in the drill, while others wondered about its necessity.

The Holiday Inn management emphasized that the exercise was part of their safety protocols, ensuring guests’ safety and preparedness in case of real emergencies. Guests were safely evacuated and accounted for during the exercise, with the army’s bomb disposal unit and police participating in the drill.
