Another truck driver, Temptation Guzhira, was arrested with dagga and 289 bottles of Broncleer cough syrup at a Bubi Roadblock. These incidents demonstrate the unit’s continued efforts to combat drug smuggling in the region .

The Zimbabwe Republic Police’s CID Drugs and Narcotics Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the smuggling attempt. If convicted, Mushonga faces penalties under Zimbabwe’s laws governing illicit substances and medicines.
