In a bizarre turn of events, a Harare man, Hardwork Nyakunu, has accused his sisters-in-law of bewitching him with a non-stop farting spree that has left him humiliated and in agony. Nyakunu claims the dark magic is the same that killed his wife last year, and he’s determined to get to the bottom of it.
The drama unfolded at Chief Mutasa’s community court, where Nyakunu presented a container of leftover food as evidence of his in-laws’ alleged witchcraft. “I’m sure it’s cursed,” he declared, convinced that the food was the source of his troubles.
But Jenny Arifasi, one of the accused sisters-in-law, rubbished the claims, saying the visit was innocent and part of their journey to see an aunt. “We didn’t even cook. He bought food himself. We just spent the night and left the next morning,” she explained.
Chief Mutasa wasn’t buying the witchcraft claims, either. “Bloating and gas are not a sign of witchcraft. It could be acid reflux or ulcers. Get that endoscopy and take your meds,” he advised Nyakunu, urging him to seek medical attention rather than pursuing supernatural suspicions.
As the case remains unsolved, Nyakunu’s pants continue to wage war, leaving him in a state of distress. One thing’s for sure – there’s no peace in his pants or his family.
