A Dog in a Suitcase Sparks Witchcraft Fears and Wild Speculation

A Dog in a Suitcase Sparks Witchcraft Fears and Wild Speculation

Harare’s bustling Central Business District was plunged into eerie disbelief yesterday when an ordinary-looking suitcase, abandoned along Jason Moyo Avenue, suddenly began to tremble — sending shockwaves through the crowd and igniting whispers of witchcraft and the supernatural.

Curious onlookers gathered as a brave passerby, ignoring urgent warnings of dark forces at play, pried open the suitcase. What emerged was both shocking and baffling: a small dog, its legs cruelly bound with rope, poked its head out, wagging its tail as if oblivious to the sinister scene unfolding around it.

“We honestly thought it was something supernatural,” one witness trembled. “I was expecting a snake, or maybe a goblin — not a dog trapped like this. It felt like a curse was upon us.”

The street vendor nearby claimed she had spotted a man walking away from the scene, clad in a sporty jersey with the number 23 boldly emblazoned on the back. “He left without a glance, like he’d done this dark deed countless times before,” she recounted, her voice hushed.

Speculation ran wild. Was this a cruel act of animal cruelty? A desperate thief dumping stolen goods? Or something far more sinister — a twisted ritual designed to invoke dark powers?

“You don’t just find a dog trapped in a suitcase in the heart of the city by chance,” muttered one onlooker, eyes darting nervously. “There’s something deeply wrong here. It’s like the spirits are trying to send a message.”

As phones flashed and videos captured the chilling moment, debates erupted — from the cruelty inflicted on the innocent animal to fears of occult practices creeping into the city’s streets.

Harare’s residents are left with a haunting question echoing through the night: *Who would lock a living dog in a suitcase, and for what dark purpose?

This bizarre incident has cast a shadow over the city, leaving many to wonder if an ancient curse or modern-day malevolence has taken root in the heart of Zimbabwe’s capital.
