Sungura legend Alick Macheso has apologised on behalf of his ‘Karate kid’ bouncer Lloyd Gweshe after he , Gweshe attacked Zimpapers journalist Richard Muponde. Muponde spoke out last week after he realized that nothing has been done by the law about.
Baba Sharo through his publicist Tich Makahamadze said they condemn violence.Makahamadze said: “We have heard about the issue and it’s sad how it happened. As a group, we condemn violence but, on this occasion, we were nowhere near this brawl.”
He further went on to clarify that as a group , they were no where close to the place were the incident happened “The brawl happened at a bar and, to be honest, there was nothing we could have done about it.
If it had happened during our show, surely, we could have intervened and acted swiftly, but in this case it would be unfair to blame our leadership or Baba Sharo because people were involved in a bar brawl over an issue they know better.”
However, Muponde is still pursuing justice to be done against Gweshe through legal ways.
