Police Officer Vanishes into Thin Air with a Marked Police Ford Ranger

In the wilds of Mashonaland Central, a plot twist worthy of a detective novel has unfolded: Assistant Inspector Mandizvidza has apparently pulled a Houdini act — vanishing into thin air with a marked police Ford Ranger in tow. Yes, you read that right, a bona fide police vehicle, not just any old jalopy.

On August 13, an urgent internal memo (think of it as the police version of a group chat blowing up) was sent out to every station in Mashonaland East. The message? Set up roadblocks, sharpen your eagle eyes, and intercept the rogue Ranger, registration 033, which had mysteriously escaped from Police General Headquarters and was believed to be roaming free in Mashonaland Central.

The memo, penned by the Mazowe district police chief, was crystal clear: “Stations to mount roadblocks and patrols to be on the lookout for the stolen vehicle. If located, arrest and detain for CID Bindura.”

In other words, “Catch the Ranger, catch the man, and bring them both back for some serious questioning”. As for how Mandizvidza managed to swipe the vehicle? That’s still a mystery wrapped in an enigma, with investigations ongoing. Maybe he took it for a joyride, or perhaps he’s just testing the limits of police trust. Either way, the chase is on, and the roads of Mashonaland Central have never been more interesting.

Stay tuned for the next episode of “As the Ford Ranger Turns.”
