203 Cases of Serious Crimes Suspect in Custody

Tafadzwa Janyure Zivirenyika, a suspect linked to a notorious machete gang, has been arrested in Masvingo for terrorizing villagers in Nyajena.

The police have connected Zivirenyika to a staggering 203 cases of serious crimes, including armed robbery, murder, kidnapping, rape, and malicious damage to property. The crimes were committed in areas like Mwenezi, Ngundu, and Renco, where the machete gang’s violent activities have instilled fear and insecurity among the communities.

Zivirenyika’s arrest is a significant breakthrough in the police’s efforts to crack down on machete gang violence, which has been a persistent problem in Zimbabwe.
