In the quiet stillness of early Sunday morning, Ha-Rangani Village in Limpopo was shattered by a chilling act of violence. Two men, both hailing from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, met a tragic and brutal end, their lives extinguished by gunfire in a scene that has left the community reeling.
The first victim was discovered slumped behind the wheel of his vehicle, riddled with multiple bullet wounds. Nearby, the second man lay lifeless, similarly struck down by a hail of gunshots. The two, aged 30 and 28, had made their homes not far from each other—one in Musina Location, the other in Ha-Rangani Village itself.
At the scene, law enforcement found not only the bodies but also live rounds, spent cartridges, and a cellphone belonging to one of the deceased, silent witnesses to the horror that had unfolded.
Provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has vowed relentless pursuit of those responsible. With resources marshaled and determination steeled, the South African Police Service has launched an extensive manhunt, leaving no avenue unexplored in their quest for justice.
The case, now formally registered as a double murder at Masisi Police Station, has been escalated to the Provincial Organised Crime Unit, underscoring the gravity of the crime and the commitment to uncovering the truth.
As the investigation unfolds, the police have called upon the public to come forward with any information that might aid in capturing the perpetrators, hoping that community vigilance will help bring an end to this reign of terror.
